sending 'spam' emails..what happens?

dont know if this is the right place in the forum for this or not.. if not i appologize...

i have a list with about 15.000 email adresses from people that i know are interested in the product i sell but those people have not registered to my newsletter or anything. i want to send those people an email.

this is considered spam right? if i send these 15.000 emails can my ip of my shop get blocked or something like that? what are the consequences if any? what is the best way to go forward?

do not send that your own main does not want to. That's spam

It depends on the country you are in. In the EU for example sending spam is not allowed, if caught you will have to pay a fine.

Other consequences are: The IP where the mais are send from gets blocked.

Just FYI, big email providers like Gmail now block not only IP addresses but also domains, so make sure to send from a different domain than your main email.
