I wanted to know if anyone has used any black hat techniques to send out sms messages? I spoke with two people that tell me there is a way/system that can be built that will allow you to send messages at roughly 10k an hour by using the email address they have with the carrier which is phonenumber with carriercom as the domain. so send 9546758777 sprintcom via this system and it comes through a phone line (i assume) as a text.

If you have any info or have used a system that can do this, pm me and let meknow how it performed.

If you're going to do it the way that you described, then you're only limited by how many emails you can send out per hour, and you could use practically any software to send out the emails.

It isnt sent out through email...the system uses the email address as the point to access the text message i assume through a phone line. If you send an email to one of the numbers at the sprintcom domain, it will go through to the inbox of their email folder. Or i think that is how it works.

Bottomline, you arent emailing you are using a mobile network somehow.

more than anything i am looking for someone that has used the system so knkow if it iworth letting someone build it for me?

Sending them out is the simple part, you just need the phone # and carrier. Sending them unsolicted (user hasn't agreed to receive messages from you) is where you'll need to cover yourself.

from what i am reading in the MMA guidelines, to be legal sending texts obtained via the web, you need to have the source info. So all the same things as you need for email to be legit and they say they recommend to include a code/pin so that it can be tracked, but it isnt mandatory. So as long as they opted in to receive offers from you, i dont see how they can track back if the offer was to receive cell phone content or not. A number of offers i have include that as part of the optin language, so with that said, i think it would be very hard for them to come after anyone.

I will point out though that i believe warner brothers or one of the big players in the industry bought 60K cell phone numbers and messaged them, but they were a third party and even though they bought them and were considered their property, there is a clause in the mma regulations that states that you cannot purchase cell numbers from third parties and use them to message. they were hit with a 60 million dollar law suit.

You can send through email. The person will get the text to their phone saying it's from whatever email address you used.

You have a lot in terms of spam to watch out for. Especially if you get a lot of people complaining about fees incurred from receiving your texts.

actually it isnt spam...i have permission from all of the numbers i use to text message them. The real issue is that the company neustar has total control over sms gateways or atleast how you communicate through the gateways, which is through short codes. if you go to any of the major gaateways they try to charge you upwards of $5k just to be approved by the carriers and you havent even sent one message yes....then they charge you a minimum monthly fee of usually $2k to send out the sms. It is like when email first started out i remember my boss asked for a set up fee and i know that infousa stilll does set up fees which is just a bs fee.

if anyone is wondering if there is any money in it...i have just started out and only putting out between 4-5k messages a day. doesnt see like much...not making a bunch...roughly $15-20 a day in the first week. I am about to have th ability to send outroughly 9k an hour. so we shall see if good money can be had.

5k messages should generate A LOT more than $20

optimize your campaign before you start scaling things up, you may be pushing the wrong product/offer

This is really interesting I've always wondered how mass text messages would go about being sent.

if you can send that many text messages, there is a good method for making cl p v a s , which you could make a pretty penny from.

well, the program you talked is an SMTP method. I just had one developed for me a month ago. It works similar to email, just the way you explained it, but you have no way of getting banned. And lucky for you, you have opt in numbers.

if you are interested in trying it out, PM me or skype me : abturag

Please give me more information concerning building a US cell phone list. I would like to have a massive list created for me for a marketing campaign. Millions of numbers.
