Is buying SEMrush worth it?
Suggest its benefits & Drawbacks.

Pros of using SEMrush:
  • I find it generally easy to use.
  • Domain analysis is particularly easy to perform with SEMrush — you get everything you need to see in one place, laid out clearly.
  • Although it provides a large quantity of data, SEMrush’s interface is laid out in a logical fashion; and graphs and data visualisations make it easy to understand the metrics provided.
  • SEMrush’s link building functionality, which features CRM-style features to help you with outreach, is superb.
  • Its site auditing feature gives you an easy-to-follow set of instructions on how to make concrete improvements to the technical SEO and on-page SEO aspects of your site.
  • In addition to organic search data, SEMrush provides you with a lot of PPC data too.
  • By comparison to its competitors, SEMrush is very generous when it comes to the number of reports you can pull in one day.
  • Three channels of support are available - phone, chat and email. This is more comprehensive than competitors Moz and Ahrefs.
  • A 14-day free trial is available, which compares positively with some competitors.

Cons of using SEMrush:
  • It only provides data for one search engine, Google — some competing tools, notably Ahrefs, provide data from quite a few other search engines.
  • Because the SEMrush interface is not ‘responsive’, it’s hard to use the tool on a mobile device.
  • SEMrush plans only come with one user account — and buying additional seats is expensive.
  • Some key features are only available as part of ‘projects’ — and SEMrush limits the number of projects you can run concurrently.
  • In my experience, the site traffic estimates have not proved to be very accurate.
  • Some competitive analysis features cost an additional $200 per month extra.
  • The free trial, whilst helpful, requires that you enter your credit card details before you can access it.

Depends on what you need it for. What are you looking to accomplish by buying a SEMrush subscription?

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I was also having the same question, and thanks for the above response.

When you are starting out, is it recommended to have one of these paid tools, or could you manage without them? Some context: I am planning to create some sites for amazon affiliates, and for ads.

Are there solutions where I can get a suite of tools, without having the need to register to each one?

On the free trial. There are sites where you can get 30 day free trial coupon. https://www.wpbeginner.com/deals/semrush-coupon/

you can use group buy to save cost!

Which group buy do you use?

SEMrush it worth it but Ahrefs is the better than SEMrush tbh. I buy around 20 tools (Ahrefs, MOZ, SEMrush and more SEO tools in the bundle) for like $16 a month from a group buy. So, it is definitely worth the price I pay.

Where is this group buy that everyone speaks of?

The knowledge you have shared is very helpful,
According to you, SEMrush is good for an individual person if it's not running a business or any company. Switching to the business account is quite expensive.
But if we look at the Prons of SEMrush its provides much more data relative to other tools which help to grow efficiently in less time.
I know that I have used ahref & Ubersuggest the traffic analysis is not accurate on this platform also.
By the way Thanks for the information you have shared.
First of all, I'm gonna purchase for a Free trial.
