You need both if want to have the best data. Export all links from ahref and import them into semrush

semrush is in my opinion the worst SEO tool. Go for Ahrefs

Ahrefs is better for backlinks, SEMrush is better for every other possible thing

SEMRush excels as a keyword rank tracking platform and by far has the broadest competitive analysis features for keyword rankings/search visibility.

Ahref in my experience. Semrush is really best for keyword research also.
