SEMRush traffic estimation is correct ? 62% for google pos. 1 !

Hi everyone,

Just did some KW deep research and im surprised about how SEMRush seems to overestimate the actual traffic one will get being pos 1 on a KW.

On my examples ( sport niche ) I systematically had 62.1% of monthly volume that would go to website in pos 1, for any KW.

I think I had read a study from moz saying that you actually get in average ~33% of the traffic volume where you're pos 1 for a KW ( Yet it's average so for some people it will be 50/60% and some other 20% ... )

That is entirely possible depending upon the keyword.

Nike's #1 spot probably gets 65% of clicks for the term "nike" for instance.

I dont think SEMRush is all that accurate, at least I have not found it to be particularly for what my projects.

SEMRUSH is not that accurate as regards to traffic cost

each niche have their own %, like some niche people even go to 2nd page, so estimated traffic from search metrics, sem rush is different.

But thing is you get idea of traffic, i own sites there semrush say 45k monthly traffic, but i am getting around 100k plus.

another site semrush say 30k, i am getting 12k .

I dont think SEMrush is accurate with regards to visitors and traffic cost .
