Nice, I have a test on that and sending 50 to 200 visits per day with a keyword on google to a website, session time is around 20 seconds. Now, after 7 days there are no results but I will test it longer to see any effects after maybe 30 days.

direct visit means type your url in address bar and visit the site right? Very interesting. Seems like a way to figure out which sites are authority.

yeah it's very comfortable and getting much information from this tool

I think SEMRush's traffic indicator is pretty accurate. It gives info on where your traffic is coming from, and the amount of traffic, and the keyword. So if you are looking for expired domains with traffic, SEMRush can give you a very good overview on the amount of traffic going through the domain.

People are often mixing causality and consequences.

Having a lot of traffic will not rank you on top. Ranking on top will get you a lot of traffic.
Ranking => Traffic => People Bookmark and direct access.
If your site content is good and UX is great THEN you will rank, and therefore you will be able to retain your visitor with the site.
Content + UX => Time on site + Page per session + Low bounce rate
Content + UX => Ranking
Referring Domain => Ranking => More Referring Domains

Referring domains and content length will make your site rank higher.
