    Hello everyone,

This is my first real online money making journey. I'm hoping this thread will help me stay honest with doing the work and keep me motivated. At the same time I'm hoping to motivate others to try the same.

So back in early 2016 I created an amazon affiliate site. I added about 10 pages in content and never touched it again. In August I magically began ranking high in google for a couple of my keywords. I went from making absolutely no money in IM to $500+ a month out of nowhere. It's continued to go up despite me not touching the site in nearly 10 months.

Seeing the results of the little time and labor I put in last year, I've decided to go ahead and try to see if I can scale it into more websites.

My goal is to create 1-2 sites per week. They will be very niche and likely only 5-15 pages and 5-15k worth of content. I'm not sure if this is the best approach but I don't feel I have the time, expertise, or money to create a massive 150 page authority site.

I'll stop creating sites once I have between 20-25. Hopefully this will be accomplished by the summer.

As far as SEO goes I believe my on-page is very good following the recommendations regarding keyword density and content length. I don't plan on doing any off-page until each new website is at least one month old and completed. I've personally seen the strength of time alone when it comes to ranking. When the time comes to begin building links I have a few PBN sites which I will use sparingly. Furthermore I will likely purchase web 2.0 and social signals from the BHW marketplace.

I'm expecting my expenses to be fairly low considering I do the vast majority of the writing myself. I occasionally pay a friend of mine to do some writing when he needs extra dough or I'm burnt out. However once I begin building backlinks I will likely spend $100-150 on each website.

As far as keywords go I typically look for ~2k+ for the main topic of the site and will go as low at 400 for short longtail pages with very little competition. I try to focus on buyer keywords but I recently found what I believe to be a good keyword with very little competition. It has 30k searches per month just by itself. With it's longtails its above 40k. The sites that rank for it currently are the inner pages of big name retail stores. They have 0-2 backlinks, are not optimized, and have no content besides 10 word descriptions and pictures. I'm really looking forward to seeing if I can take the #1 spot for this. Even though the conversion will be significantly lower, the massive amount of searches should more than make up for that fact.

An example of what my average website will look like.
Homepage 1.5k + words (main topic/some related longtails) - Reviews 500-1k words each(individual products that are popular/have many monthly searches) - Less related longtails 1k~(That seem to have very little competition)

Here is a snapshot of my earnings for December of last year.
