Hi all,

Im checking out my new site in SEM Rush and getting some wierd data for what keywords I'm ranking for.

According to It I'm ranking for 6 keywords between positions 60-93, however when I check google and serplab it do not have any results for these keywords, it's showing that I'm not in the serps. Another thing is that these exact phrases I'm ranking for are not even on my site in some cases.

Can someone please explain?

SemRush aren't the quickest to update.
Have you tried Ahrefs ?

No but I'll sign up for the trial and check it.

As the site is new though I know I wasn't ranking for these before so finding it wierd that it says it on Sem rush but no where else, any thoughts?

Either way I thought it might be a good idea to optimise the site for these keywords anyway and see what happens?

Also check from which location they are checking their rank. Google now show different rank for same domain when checked from different Geo or location.

I am using SEranking, they have an option to selection Location as well.. not much idea of SEMrush

Anyone else had this before. 5 of the keywords I only started to rank for yesterday according to sem rush

Ahrefs is better to this

Search engines show different results, depending on your physical location. Search engine databases are constantly updated. There may be a time difference between your manual checking, rank tracking service update and search engine update. So you can always see slight variations in the output.

I do use SEMRush when checking for expired domains or expired web2.0 properties that still has traffic, and I find their traffic indicator/metric to be very accurate indeed. When a site has a decent amount of traffic, I get those registered, and redirect that site to my own, thus increasing my own website's traffic in the process. The hunting process for expired sites that have traffic can be thrilling sometime.
