selling your e book

I haven't done a e book yet, so I have some questions. So I pick a topic, scrape some content, cut&paste into free e book template, u/l it to my host which can be d/l in .pdf form, (how do I set it on my hosting so it can be d/l? then sign up with c/b as publisher, set my own price and that's it?
