Selling WoW Guides over Ebay

Hey, newbie to selling stuff on ebay and wanted to ask if theres any risk in selling World of Warcraft Guides (leveling and goldguides) that arent my own over ebay? I have quite a few guides around that you can buy all over the internet and wondered if I could sell them over ebay (wouldnt name the auction just like the original guide but under a simple "wow leveling guide" ord "wow gold guide").

I would sell it on a regional ebay in europe if this does matter.

I have sold my own Warcraft guides on eBay. It lasted only a little while before they were pulled for using the Warcraft name.

If you do this, take care how you word the listing.

I've been wondering this also. I have a runescape guide that's pretty good from a while ago and was wondering if I could just sell it on eBay?

The only thing is you can't sell ebooks on ebay anymore, so we'd have to make like CD's or something wouldn't we?

Don't use world of warcraft. You'll get in trouble. But you can use WOW. You can advertise as alliance leveling guide or horde leveling guide as well. Just don't use the warcraft name and you'll be fine. Will you make any sales? I don't think so.

If you don't use world of warcraft you won't have many sales. Most of the people on eGay are searching world of warcraft, not wow leveling because they want to buy the game. You will need approval to use world of warcaft, gold and leveling in your titles and descriptions because eGay does not allow selling virtual items since 2007 and these keywords are automatically banned. For approval you need to contact eBay and tell them you wrote some wow guides and you will have them shipped on CDs.

The trick in getting many sales is to list an item every 30 minutes with world of warcraft in title so you can always be on the first page of results. I don't remember how you can automate this..maybe with turbo lister or something. I think the better the feedback you got the better your auctions will pop up in search but this is something only time will fix unless you already have a user with great feedback.

To pull of more money you should have 5 guides:
1. Gold Guide $5.95 or 6.95
2. Alliance Leveling $9.95
3. Horde Leveling $9.95
4. PvP Guide $9.95
5. Complete Guide (all guides with discount) $19.95

Make sure your listings will look a lot nicer than your competition, it will boost your sales.

I don't know about stealing the guides , I had my own but I guess it's OK as long as you change the looks, I mean I don't think the owner will pay $2500 for a plane ticket + lawyers and stuff to sue your ass in EU. I wouldn't worry about that, but if the owner will find out you will sure get your ass banned from eGay.

Using kunaki.com is not an option, I see on their website you have to pay $5.20 for shipping and manufacturing. To make this work you have to pay a ton of listing fees and you can't go higher than $9.95 / guide because you won't have sales. So I don't see much profit here. You must find a much cheaper way to ship out the cds.

Money !? well.. 2 years ago I was making $1500+/m but I got banned in 3 months because I never sent out a CD , all customers got from me was a download link.

For this to work make sure your listings are really imba and find a $2 s&manufacturing for states because that's where you'll have most of your buy outs.

Hmm, i have to disagree, especially for selling guides as the shipping rate on this site is amazingly high.

Sell it as a CD and with a "instant download" bonus. I don't think anyone is going to ask for a CD when they have instantly downloaded your guide already.

Sounds like the best thing to do is to email them the download link and have a opt-in list for the CD. If they complain to ebay, just tell ebay that they never filled out the form for the shipping.

Wow that's actually a really good idea. Then you can upsell them cause you have their email.

You HAVE TO physically ship all the items no matter if they opted in or not. It's non negotiable. So shipping is not an option nor an excuse and egay will ban your account without asking your opinion.

That sounds much more likely to me, I was just spitting out ideas.
