    Hello,

I have been away from BHW some months(or years) so I'm not 100% updated, I alreay made a quick search on offline section and the closest to my idea is 7878 method.

My idea is searching for dentists/lawyers/plumbers/etc that don't have an website, send them a letter telling them that I can do a website for $X.
I'm from Europe, here in my country there is a lot of people that don't have any website and there is a lack of supply, so the websites are a little bit expansive. I'm not any specialist on webdesigning/programming but some years ago I made a couple micro niche blogs (for adsense), so I thought that I can outsource a part of the job.

What do you think about that? Anyone tried this?

    Thank you

Doing any mailing/emailing/colding is always going to come down to a numbers game. You'll eventually find a client, it just depends on how long you keep at it.
From my experience, meeting the business owner face to face got me very good "conversions."

Also, I hope you mean $XXX, and not $X. :)

Ive been doing this for 6 months now. I am also from Europe(Eastern). In this part of the world people have reservations, they do no trust you so you will have to spend alot of time on letters/calls/mails and such. Also as nikchaing said meeting face to face is best. I do the websites myself.

I have heard about this method in 2013. It was about cold calling the clients and another expansion was creating a website for best doctors in the city and then ranking the site and again cold calling the doctors for advertising in front page. This seems really good method to use with dentists and other similar clients. Hope it helps!

I've been doing this for over 10 years now. Sadly I'm on my phone atm so ill have to keep things short.

If you're going to try and sell to local businesses then meeting them face to face and building a relationship is crucial if you want to build a sustainable income. Clients who still don't have a (decent) website in 2015 are usually not very it oriented and they'll benefit a lot from someone who is willing to help them manage the online part of their business. So if you want to get a good income and a rewarding experience from this, I suggest you become that person. This way you can expect monthly payments, different challenges (in the form of projects, this landed me an app Dev job for example) and a lot of lasting business contacts.

If you're just looking to crunch out crappy sites and charge the moon then you can do that, but you'll be 10-15 years late to hit it big...

I think this is probably where most people on BHW are making money. There is tones of money to be made if you can get the clients, get website done fast and don't be scared of billing allot of money.
