Selling website using escrow

Hello everyone.

I want to ask people who have experience using escrow for selling a website.
I have some potential buyers for a website that look suspicious (new accounts with no history at all) but they all offer to me to pay using escrow.

Is there a way to get scammed using escrow? I ask because I read everywhere that it is completely safe but as some of them don't even ask a single question about the business that raises red flag and I feel like I am missing something.

I've sold many websites on Escrow, but to be honest I've always had extensive conversations with the buyers beforehand with them asking lots of questions. I've had buyers with brand new accounts that bid on Flippa that never made contact at all but I never accept those bids until I've spoken with them first, got details about their ID etc (social media, online presence). Legit buyers are always happy to give this. I can't think of how you could get scammed using Escrow, but I feel like the wrong people will always find a way. I'd be wary too.

You can trust escrow. Just keep your documentation and correspondence clear.
