I have a list of about 100 Medal of Honor beta keys, and wanted to put up an auction on eBay. So I put up an auction lastnight lasting 30 days, with buy it now as the option of purchase.

This morning while I was at work, somebody purchased one..5 mins later, eBay took down my auction saying this:

You recently listed the following listing:

230503710705 - Medal of Honor Promotion Beta Key Code 360 / PS3 / PC

Your listing has been removed.

Beta codes are not allowed on eBay. Do not relist.

Copyright infringement is unlawful and against eBay's policies. Copyright is the protection provided by law to the authors of creative works, such as movies, music, software, photographs and books, both published and unpublished. Copyright owners possess the exclusive right to reproduce the copyrighted work, to distribute copies of the copyrighted work, and to perform or display the copyrighted work publicly.

eBay prohibits the listing of unauthorized copies of copyrighted works. Unauthorized copies include (but are not limited to) backup, pirated, duplicated, or bootlegged copies.

Guideline: If the product you are selling is a copy of another work that you aren't authorized to copy, don't list the item. Beta software, test software and evaluation software are not permitted on eBay. These are pre-release copies of software distributed by software developers strictly for the purpose of evaluation and troubleshooting. Distribution of such copies violates the software developers' copyrights.

Why was my listing removed, when I've seen MANY other people selling keys for Starcraft II, MoH, etc. How do other auctions stay active and mine was removed that quickly?

Is there any tricks I can use to keep my auction up? I spent money on the keys, so I don't want them to go to waste and not get any money out of them.

common u are selling Copyrighted stuff flagged on ebay
what do u spec ?
the emails says everything , about other ppl selling that same stuff
their listing will be remove soon or later

1. It's pretty hard to make to what you're trying to say, at least use a translator if you barely know english.
2. No, the auctions were never removed when the Starcraft II beta was running and people had auctions up for beta keys.
3. This forum lists methods of auctioning replica items, which is against eBay ToS as well, and I am not selling any "replica" or "bootleg" versions.
4. It says "beta software, pirated, duplicated, bootleg items" which is not what I have. I just have a code, not any software or pirated copies of anything.

I just want to know if there's anything I can do in my auction, word it differently or whatever, for it to stay up.

The term beta and medal of honor probably strikes a flag with eBay, I got mine removed after 16 hours, but made 15 sales at $5 a pop. Try to remove the term beta and see how it works out for you. :)

Thanks for the info. If it gets removed again, will my paypal account be affected at all?

Nah your paypal account shouldn't be affected, but eBay account would get suspended temporarily usually for 3 then 7 days if you keep doing it. After 120 days the eBay warnings usually gets cleared. You'd get your PayPal account limited though if they believe you're money laundering of committing fraud such as selling and distributing private Microsoft product keys.
