So I had my first sale on ebay over a year ago, and I have sold 8 items ever since then over the course of 12 months. All of those items were just used computer parts. But just the past 2 weeks, I've gotten into buying and reselling in bulk. My account has limits at 500/25k and I have sold 25+ items in the past 2 weeks. I have heard of cases where people need to send ebay proof of identification and residency. I've read ebay seller guides that say to take it extreme slow in the first 90 days and not have any fixed price listings or growth explosion. However, it has been over a year since my first sale. I'm wondering if I should really slow down and stick to the online guides because I just got into selling or does it not matter because it's been over a year since my first sale. I can't really send then identification or proof of residency either because I'm using a sudo-name and address because I'm selling some high risk items. Any advice is highly appreciated.

First of all it is very good that your account is over 1 year old. Ebay is usually much stricter to new users for the first 90 days. You should be able to list even $10k worth of items right now and sell $200-$500 a day. Stick to less than $10k in revenue first month and increase this amount up to 2x every month.

Because you were not actively getting sales though, you will likely have holds for a while. In this case you will have to call paypal and ask them to remove these holds as you meet the criteria of 90+ days since the first sale. It might take a few weeks to get them removed.

Finally, don't worry about ID verification. If you do get hit with that, there is a member on BHW who can help you with that. Look up secondeye. If you really want to avoid that, then list items slower and do lower amounts first month.

What you can do is make stealth accounts and spread sales good luck.
