Selling Products on Instagram via DHgate

Hey all

Firstly can I just say what an amazing website this is! I've learned soo much and words can not describe how thankful I am for everyones contributions to various posts. I am extremely new to posting threads on forums, this is my first so sorry if it's bad but I hope to be posting more often!

I had an idea that seemed very profitable if it works, simply:

1. Build an Instagram account around fashion brand niches (Gucci, LV, Prada, Yeezy etc)
2. Slowly start advertising REPLICA products for sale from DHgate
3. Dropship the products to the buyer

DHgate replicas are very authentic looking and are fairly cheap a pair of Gucci Slides will cost around $40 USD and can easily sell on Instagram for $90-100

I am just not too sure if this will work or if it will flop, will Instagram ban my account? Is there legal action that can be taken against me due to me selling counterfeit goods? Do people even buy stuff via Instagram? When should I start advertising products?

I am going to try it and see how I go, it sounds like such a profitable idea in my head but I'm new to growing an Instagram account so this will be a challenge. (I drop shipped designer stuff from DHgate on Gumtree Australia and that was extremely profitable however slowed down tremendously after 2 months).

Could maybe work if you're not publicly showing the replica's, but make sure for followers it's obvious you're selling. Then in DM make sure the buyer knows it's not the real deal so they won't come after you when they received the product and find out it's a replica. There's people that want replica stuff but have no idea where to find it. Problem is if the package gets caught at customs and your customer paid you but never reveived anything.

dude stay away from replicas unless you're wearing them yourself. never try to monetize replicas.

Do it! We in the same page though, I've done it.
Here's my thought about the whole experience.
It worked, but what I did was using my Shopify website instead of doing it with Instagram DM.
Result --> Permanent ban account limitation.

DO NOT EVER USE PAYPAL FOR THIS OR YOU WILL GET BANNED LIFETIME like me.

Does this stop me? Nope.
Outsmart them. Use other payment method like WU / TW / Payonneer.
These payment method I mentioned above, doesn't work like other, this is one - to - one individual money transfer which means it is "Send to friends and family"
They don't care if you're buying things or whatsoever.

Positive:
• No dispute
• No track record / whatsoever

How to do it?
• Research on the niche, and supply from DHgate, Taobao, 1688, Alibaba, etc.
• Contact them about Payment method, since most of them will only accept AliPay, which is troublesome.
• Bargain the F out of them! At first they'll be greedy as hell.
• Download the images, put your trademark on it (Branding)
• Upload collections on any website (So your customer who DM'ed you can see the entire collections you have though the link you sent them)
• Research on the hashtags (This is VERY crucial)
• Do panel IG followers, Swipe up works best imho.
• Do Shoutouts paid influencers within your niche. (You have to do A/B test, ofc you'll lose money since some of them are panel influencers)

That's it. You're good.

Would people be comfortable sending money through other platforms other than PayPal? Especially through a new Shopify store

Am I directing my followers to the Shopify store? Or to the website with my collections and products

Also what’s Panel IG followers? Could you please elaborate.

Oh I am supportive, If I weren't I'd would have said something really snippy or not replied at all. I'm really in watch mode on this though as I really think IG will ban that account Mo Riky Tic.

Yes, the key is within your collection link, how it should represent and look professional. Also, you have to "use their language" to get their trust if you know what i mean.

Ofc to the collections & products. But beware, don't simply put the collection link in your bio. What you'll end up is people stealing your images that you've collected from dhgate and put together.
That's why I did watermark on every single photo or image per product per collection.

For IG panel just browse on this forum. What I mean is boosting followers and likes etc, you know these stuff right?
