Selling on eBay.com instead of other eBay.tld's

I noticed when I started setting up the listing for my first product that my browser changed from "ebay.com" to "ebay.ca".

Is this going to effect me negatively in any way? I would like to primarily target people in the USA.

... anything I should know? Or is there no issue here?

I noticed there is an option to choose the shipping language, and I could put in a U.S option. But will that make a different? And am I risking getting in trouble if shipping will be coming from China?
