Selling Links on your site

Hope I'm posting this in the right category, but I just wanted to get a general idea of how much people charge when selling links on their site/blogs. Specifically blogroll and article links (sponsored posts) intended for SEO value. My site doesn't get a ton of traffic but has a high PR4 and high SEOmoz page authority of 50. I appreciate your thoughts!

It depends on the PR. Well since you mentioned the PR4 maybe $15/month? I don't know much about backlinks, but I charged $10/month for a PR2 online game site (which eventually became a PR3). Also, if someone wants to have their link on your site it will be to raise their SERPS and not for traffic. Get some other people's advice n hear what they have to say over my opinion. hah.
 
I have about $15/month for a PR4 on DP. PR3 and below get not much. They are at $5/year on Fiverr....
 
That's good to know, might get a few links if there's pr3's on fiverr:)
 
I sold myself about 15 links on my PR3 site for the full year until last update few days ago when it went down to PR2. It's an abandoned site for me and will sell it for few bucks to Realtors...

I have PR3 poker related website. And selling in content link for 40$/month through broker (link building company). Link is for the biggest Poker Site, so I guess they have a budget to invest that much.

Snt know exactly what blog roll is!? Isn't it just a list of text links, if so, yes that's what my links are, they are only on homepage though - if your running a blog, your links are probably on all pages right?

That's pretty good! It's clear that industry does play a big factor - online gambling is obviously a high worth area, as is investing, arts/ent not so much! ;)
 
Thanks for all the replies. Sold a nice $96 blogroll link this morning! I went with $10/mo with a 20% discount if paid upfront for 12 months. :D

Nice one! If you can sell one Keep going! If you are interested, you should try text link ads - they accept anything from pr2/3 up I think, you agree an amount of spots and a price then they sell them to their members, they either take 50% rev or you get a better rate if you buy your own links.

11years old Gambling domain, PR5, home page link $1000/year
PR4, Inner page link $400/year

I just lost PR5 to PR4 :( . At least I had one sale few days before google update.
Dont understand why I lost that one, I recently had a PressRelease published, and few other good links built. I was expecting to keep PR5 strong.

Also I only sell 2-3 links, keep the price big, but I do not want to have 15-30 sold links on my domain.
 
Just after commenting on this thread, I got an email out of the blue frOm someone wanting to purchase a link on my arts/ent website - they have bought a single page in content text link for 120usd/year.

The particular site as I said is about pr3 but obviously the link is on an inner page, only bad thing is it's a poker link on an arts website so it is a bit out of place - but hey, it's not my main site, so I thought why not:)
 
There are many forums and sites from which you can get the price for your PR link. DP is not the only authority for deciding prices of links.
 
I have a PR4 blogger blog(Travel niche) Wondering how much would i charge for a link on it ??is it the same as TLD website??
