They could also say the item was a different amount than described, file an 'item not as described' and if your account gets too many ebay will hit you with a whopping 5% on your store. If that happens just issue the return, block the buyer and move on. Charge it to the game.
It's seriously the worst thing to do.
What can be done is you could make them redeem them the code via teamviever sessions and then screenrecord withou them knowing? But the hassle is too much on this.
Selling gift cards is a no-no if you are getting paid via paypal. If it was crypto only then it's 100% safe.
