Selling E-cigarettes on Ebay

So today i got up this morning and ebay removed all of my e-cigarette/Vape Pen& accessories listing's stating that it was against ebay's policy to sell e-cigarettes on ebay? there are thousands of them selling on ebay everyday, Why can other people sell them but i can't? is there something that i don't know about this catagory? or is there a way around this? This is a great market right now with a lot of potential and i would like to be able to continue selling them i made 15 sales within 12 hours of posting. Any tips would be appreciated!

Hi,

The ebay rules disallow selling electronic cigarettes that contain nicotine. You are allowed to sell nicotine free products such as e shisha pens, empty vapourisers and accessories. With accessories make it clear in the listing that you're listing an empy vapouriser or that there are no electronic cigarettes included with products such as carry cases. Make sure that you don't use the words electronic cigarettes in your product title or it will automatically get removed.

If you notice, the listings that are on ebay are all for things like ego rechargeable e shishas or vapour pens or suchlike.

We have a shop on ebay and all we sell is e cigarette products and since clarifying what's allowed with ebay, we've not had anything removed for over a year now :)

List under aromatherapy devices, not electronics or something vague.
And as above poster mentioned, make sure it's quite clear that your product contains NO nicotine or tobacco.

I always put at the very top of my listings something like

*** YOU MUST BE 18 OR OLDER TO BID ON OR PURCHASE THIS ITEM
*** THIS ITEM IS INTENDED FOR AROMATHERAPY USAGE ONLY, AND CONTAINS NO NICOTINE OR TOBACCO

Boom, your @ss is covered.
 
you need to include in your description that no nicotine is in the product and that by buying the product you agree that you are 18+ and some other stuff

How does it work where a customer is looking to buy a product with nicotine, and comes across your ad where it states 'no nicotine', won't you lose a customer there?

Probably, but there's not really any way around it if you want to sell on eBay -- you've gotta abide by their TOS.
 
Same thing happened to me just a few days ago. I have a 14 year old eBay account (personal account) in excellent standing with 100% feedback from 735 people. I'm a Top Rated Seller and Power Seller.

I listed a PAX Vaporizer for the first time and in a matter of HOURS, they took the listing down and warned me from listing those again. I think it was due to VeRo though (manufacturer requested it be taken down)
 
Thanks for all the input so far guy's i'm going to try these methods and hope that i don't get hit again haha!

Yes i did thank you! i just started listing them as vapor pens and i have not had a problem yet over 60 sales in the past 3 day's and everything seems good! thanks!
 
Same thing happened to me recently...Been selling e-cig accessories for 7 months. Was doing very well and suddenly had all listings removed. Anyone know of a way to relist my items without getting removed again?? Most were Ego listings. PM me.

Do not use the Word "EGO" in any of your titles, by using that word they will automatically take your listing down "EGO" is the keyword
 
Also only list as vapor pens, or vaporizers never list as E-cigarettes and i list in "Consumer electronics > Gadgets & Other Electronics > Other" and have not run into any problems since i have updated my listing's and have sold around 200+ Vaporizers and accessories in the past 3 day's and have not had any removed. Hope this helps!
