Selling E-Books; Question

What's the best way to set up your site so that someone pays, they get taken to PayPal, then they get send to your 'download' page?

How do you set it up one of those 'download the e-book now' links and send them the book?

Dumb question, I know, but I've never done it. Are there any special tools or tutorials?

Well, this is becoming elance here - is there a section in this forum that we can buy and sell scripting services? If not - there should be - Guess I should rent myself out here.....

paypal->
merchant services->
buy now button->
choose button/use your own image->
fill out the rest->
at the bottom choose add more options->
fill out successful payment url

and anything else you want.

that should get you

yes i am a joomla junkie...

try joomla + virtuemart - you can sell digital goods via virtuemart and a host of different payment vendors are supported as well as SSL

I've never used Joomla either, but it looks interesting.

Paypal is free and easy, can be encripted, use your own pay now button, free and easy, oh i already said that.

Maybe i just like free and easy.

If you want to use other payment methods then the others will be needed.

virtuemart is free as is joomla and can be tied into paypal for free too...

its good if you have a lot of digital items otherwise if you are talking about one or two your probably better off just using paypal... it would be far quicker to get working...
