Selling DVD Copies On eBay

Back before torrents and not every computer had a dvd writer there was some cash to be made but now the risk just totally outweigh the rewards. A guy I used to work with got a big time fine for doing this just as a side hobby, maybe shipping out 10-20 a month so hardly a major operation. The thing is, you never know who you are selling to doing this and these tend to be easy cases to make for law enforcement.

If you make it easy for people to find you by not covering your tracks then yeah, you're gonna get caught even if you're only doing small amounts. Authorities will always go after the low-hanging fruit first.

just use a fake eb accoutn with a fake PP account to do all these.

then transfer the money to ur principal account .... via various means :)

I used to sell stuff through a falsely set up eGay account when I was in my teen's. It was so easy back then. I stopped when I was wise enough to understand the consequences.

It was always a "time game" - if a new DVD came out, I was on eBay selling it as "Viewed Once, Perfect Condition" although all of them were Heat Sealed with "Kum and Go" stickers on them. When a new movie came out, I rushed to get 200 made, and usually 2 or 3 titles per week. The copies were easy, it was all about making the cover, and the disc label. About the time I had my own little "operation" going, I switched to selling box sets because they were much more profitable because people were less likely to copy them because they couldn't make the actual boxes. I got all of mine from Taiwan. I did this for about 6 months on 12 different eBay accounts. All of them were at least 2,000 pos. feedback. One day, I was just like "I've got to stop this before I get into some serious trouble."

Good thing I did too. I was raided because my girlfriend at the time called the cops and told them I sold drugs, and they raided my house and didn't find anything. I could easily be in prison right now.

If your looking to sell copied dvds on ebay you can, and I was among the 1st to do this method back in 2005. I made over $75,000 in 6 months selling conspiracy dvds all videos were un-copyrighted and available in the public domain. I stopped doing it once the competition grew and i was not making enough $$ to make it worth my while. You can see that people are still selling these on ebay

I cant post links but search ebay for "loose change" in the dvd section. every one of those auctions are for burned dvds.

It can be done just dont sell copyrighted movies.

Funny things , these DVD set things well known the copier from china and i wonder why they allow us based company vendio merged to the biggest copier supplier "Alibaba" to encourage the pirates business ? well not all are but MOST !! :P

You can get sued but you can get away with it. Just say that you did not know and decline everything.

my friends and i did this about 8 years ago. It was lots of fun and we made A LOT of easy cash, until cops came knocking at the door. Long story short, we were never charged, but warned if we kept it up, there would be consequences---> JAIL TIME!

Be careful, it's actually pretty easy to spot a fake if you know what to look for. the chinese always seem to miss some detail that gives it away...

Lets say you were to make a site with offshore hosting (honk kong, russia, w/e). What payment processer would you use? Offshore obveously, but Hong Kong based? Russian based? Dubai or some 3rd world Middle Eastern/African country? Can anyone offer examples?

Maybe something like
Code:
http://www.ctopay.hk
?

I dont see how you make profit the big shops buyers ad supermarkets are cheap.
Ebayers dont bid very much.
Tell me man how the profit is made?

These look similar prices to Ebay Walmart etc.
How he can get sales profits like that is beyond me.
Even in UK some sets are cheaper
I knew someone that sold fake DVD box sets on EBay and believe me once they catch on you'll be fucked. Forget eBay, make a website.

Check out this site: www.dvdsetshop.com

They are ranked on the first page of Google for most of their keywords like "Lost Seasons 1-6"

The guy I knew made in excess of $100,000 in 3 months, no joke. Great for Christmas time.

If you're going to attempt to do anything like this, you're going to need, Chinese or Russian hosting. Don't use hostgator, they will ban you and threaten you with a DMCA complaint.

Never associate anything with your name and address.

The guy I knew used an unregistered mobile broadband to connect to his site also.

You can find suppliers of DVD box sets from china that do drop shipping as well.

I know a very good supplier of DVD box sets from china. PM me and I will give you his yahoo messenger name.

That sounds interesting, I may be interested in doing that also

there is tons and tons of it out there now and tons of people selling it but i would not screw with fortune 500 companies and mess with ebays reputation by selling on there site they have all the money in the world to put you in a world of hurt if they wanted to.

are dvd copies still high risk to sell on gaybay? i would think that they are not so much anymore because the tech world is going digital
