Hey guys, got a question for ya. I applied for and was denied a sellers permit in new york state (i live there), actually applied twice, once last nov-dec and again a few weeks ago. Reason is i owe some back taxes and they wont be caught up anytime soon. My question is, is there any way around this since i need a sellers permit to deal with most wholesalers since they all request it. Can i get one in another state and register my business there ? I have a sister in florida and i can use her address. Or maybe in another country ? Anyone have any insite on this ?

Well, you are definitely in a tough spot (but I guess you knew that). Since you state that your tax issues won't be resolved any time soon, I would set the business up in Florida at your sister's address, and get the reseller permit there. That should solve your problem.
