See what they are asking.
Ask for more (BIN price)
I generally set reserve low & let market call the price.
Personally I find that when setting reserve high it creates less interest, thus less competitors in the bidding race, whereas the flipside to that formula occurs when setting it low.
I have been disappointed only once (but I guess that was a crap site anyway) & many other time bidding has well exceeded my expectations.
In auctions, people only pay what it is worth unless interest is high & pay high when people buy just to get it. (to win auction)
