sell domain that is trademarked??

i registered a .asia domain in march 2008. well but i think its a trademark-name by warner bros. but i think it would be very profitable if i could sell it. so how do i sell a trademarked .asia domain without getting in any trouble?

If its trademarked by a big well known company with heavy branded recognition and value. They will come after you and they may even make you pay X amount just to make an example out of you. When people do this, they are labeled as "cybersquatters" whose intent is to reg branded domains and sell it to known companies that already own trademark/rights to the name.

Recently, Carlos Slim, Mexican billionaire won a legal dispute over his name - the person who reg'd it wanted $55 million dollars but lost because Carlos Slim has trademark on his name.

Don't worry about selling this name and/or developing it if it is trademarked. It's better than going to court and having the world labeling you as cybersquatter.

well im not planning on going to court
so what exactly do you suggest i could do. sell it? or will i get problems if i keep it? im a bit confused right now. dont want any troubles just for having it...also i could probably make quite some cash out of it, if i put up a site that fits...but well i dont know that its legal to do so...

Don't worry lunatic... you will not get into any trouble by having the name. I understand you want to make some money off of it - but if it is trademarked and you put up a site. You may get away with it for a brief time - but in the long run it just doesn't work. If you happen to sell it per se, folks in the domaining world are smart and they will know if is a trademarked name or not and just won't bother with it because of legal troubles. Couple years back: A well known domaining company with big money had to pay Verizon for infringing on their name. IMHO: Don't do anything with it and just let the name expire. Forget about the $10 reg fee and find other names that are not trademarked to make money off of.

BTW: Warner Bros lost some potential big time money to 20th Century Fox by making/releasing Watchmen when Fox still had rights to it. They are quite pissed and if they see someone making good money off their name - they may just want to make an example out of somebody.
