Self Sourcing Residential IPs

I have a platform that I am thinking of letting users opt into sharing their residential IPs as apart of our program.

I’ve spoken with some platforms like Swarmbytes that have made offers, but I’m wondering if sellers here have an interest in that type of thing. It seems like their pool sizes are huge, would they need a service like this? Would be looking at around10,000 residential IPs. Thanks!

Yes largest proxy provides have apps where it is as easy as clicking button and being paid for amount of data used. There are even individuals who do this as full on passive revenue with multiple phones.

Do these large providers need more proxies or are they pretty much set? Not sure if my 10k proxies would just be laughed at if I wanted to make some sort of deal

Like I assume most proxies I’m seeing with huge pools are just being resold from big name providers, unless I’m mistaken with that. Doesn’t seem realistic that some of these small services have access to 50m+ residential proxy pools

There are individuals who are sellling their excess monthly data to these big companies so I am sure they will happily take anything you can give them assuming you can provide good quality ones.

I would assume proxies coming directly from user devices would be good quality ones? They’re not sold anywhere else unless they use a product like honeygain. Would these be a higher quality than their normal proxies these smaller services sell?

Residental and phone data is always good quality. These days it is all about having IP that is not flagged spam.

Would you recommend I go to bigger companies? Swarmbytes was offering .5/concurrently monthly active IP which seemed low. Not sure if smaller ones would have better rates.

Also a bit concerned, how would I make sure that they are using the IPs legally and not for suspicious activity that would hurt their quality

You still control the traffic. You can monitor all the traffic and ban/block sites you do not want people visiting.
 
this is complicated platform include traffic manage ,and payment OS.

Do you think that amount of IPs would bring in good revenue? Not sure how much of a priority it should be for us VS other options. Could stick with routing to Swarmbytes for around .5/month per concurrent active
 
Good quality IPs are always in demand. You can reach out to providers and inquire if they would be interested in your products. Most of the providers get the IPs from residential connections and pay them accordingly except some who are providing their own services.

Thanks for the response, is there any way I can ensure that these IPs aren't being abused by providers? I would hate for my users to get blacklisted from sites.
