Self Hosting + Free Domain

Maybe this is a stupid idea or this maybe a legendary idea but I'm still gonna ask.
Suppose i setup a server on my own Laptop/ Computer is it possible for the SEO to be better than the free hosts online ?
and If i use a free Domain with this self setup server is it going to be a good idea for traffic generation? and maybe earning with Adsense later?

If you really can't afford to pay for hosting go for free web host instead of setting up server on your PC. As for the domain - buy it, it makes no sense to spend time promoting something you don't own (free domain)
 
The problem is I'm totally broke and I already have a wordpress hosted on a free server and it's not getting any traffic even after SEO Optimization and SEO Plugins.

You would most likely be better off creating a free blogger blog than attempting to self host.

If you can't afford either a domain or hosting then look around for methods that don't require a website to begin with until you have made enough to buy them.
 
I thought of Fiverr but then again... I dont have anything that I'm good at.
 
if u have 10 bucks go to namecheap
they are offergin 10 bucks/year hosting .Cheap as hell !

Your english seems decent and you said you manually wrote posts on a website. Try a writing gig just to earn a few $$ to get started.

It doesn't matter what you offer or how bad you think you are. There are plenty of gigs on fiverr that don't deliver what they advertise, so long as you do deliver then there shouldn't be a problem.

Maybe its the niche or not enough content. You can create more than one blog on there, try another niche you may be surprised.

I'll try article writing gigs on Fiverr to generate enough for a hosting plan.
and what do i use for Trafficking .... except SEO because SEO isn't working for me.
 
Thanks for the NameCheap recommendation I'll try generating 450 Bucks( India Currency) to get the Shared hosting plan.
 
That is something I can't offer any guidance for, My main problem is traffic generation.

There is loads of advice on this forum though and people will help you so long as you are prepared to put in the effort and don't expect spoonfeeding.
 
I've had experiance with different CMS Services and Blogger blogs but due to not being able to build a community I planned to give up on that.
 
I suggest blogger as well. I used to host a celeb blog which earned me a decent mullahs.
I think either you are a teen or a person having worst time of his life financially. Fiverr is a good place to start but again as you've said you don't posses any skills so I would suggest you should try

It is a crowd sourcing company by amazon which pays you to complete some task assigned to you. Task are simple enough like
--> Put the products in right category.
--> Translation work
--> Write a transcripts for audio
--> Identify the image.

This is the most simplest way. Also I suggest that you should never give up on IM.
I have been doing IM from a while now. I don't make millions not even thousands. I make few bucks here and there but I still do it. why ? because I fucking enjoy it.

And I did post a Wordpress Configuring Gig on Fiverr but then again the Competition for that certain topic is really high and getting someone to assign you or buy your gig would be hard.
Another Gig was about Tattoo designing which i like drawing all the times and that was not considered as well and I'll try mturk thanks!
 
Just curious... but is Neobux an Option to start off for the little collection because microworkers and mturk will pay around the same amount.
 
mturk is not similar to neobux or any other *bux. These bux sites pays you to click ads and signup offers and shit....while mturk is a actual work. I mean the work which involves effort from your part and pay is much better than those bux sites. If you got enough time and ready to work hard you can easily earn $5 per day on mturk.
 
yeah i just observed that Mturk pays a minimum of 0.01 and bux pays 0.0001.... obviously mturk is better.

Never use free domains, never use free hosting, simple as that.
