Self Hosting Adult Content on Home Server?

Hey BHW,

I am working on a adult website right now that I plan to publish soon.

But one issue I keep banging my head with, is hosting the content.
Because everyone I have asked has said it would be a very bad idea to host the content on the same server as the website itself is hosted.

The thing is, I have a server at home which I wanna use to host content.
The idea is to host it all on there, and then embed it on my site.

I live in EU, so I hope I should be DMCA safe.

Server specs:

i5 3540.
32 GB RAM.
(I plan to buy some 250GB SSD to start off with)
500/500 Fiber connection. (Will be upgraded to 1Gbit within 2 months)

Once the site is running well, then I plan on moving the content onto a server on a dedicated server with Hostslick or something like that. But Right now I just dont have that 59€ per month for one of their servers.

Would it make sense, or should I save up some money for a dedicated server first?
Using shared hosting for the WP based website itself.

There's going to be laws in your home country regarding hosting copyrighted material without the authorization to do so.

Bad idea, dont host anything in your home or personal pc in fact dont even have any files in your home pc always work online , get the free video hosting links as start then once its going upgrade to dedicated server

I hope your electricity is free then.

Anyway, you dont need a Dedicated server, you can go with VPS aswell. It wont cost you more than $20-$30 per month. And it will run good, unless you're expecting to have thousands of traffic everyday.

I got lucky and made a nice deal with Hostslick and found a good solution for my hosting with them.

But thank you all for the warnings, I did not think that though through!

Do you have any recommendation for VPS to self host such content to this day? I'm looking for one to start then try to build my way to dedi.
