Hi. My name's Scuba and I'm a blackhatohaulic.

Is there a way to implement non-reversible temporary self bans? Say for a user selected number of days?

I need a week or so with no way to access my favorite addiction.

I'm hoping for a PM at some point tonight, but after that, I need to get my ass to WORK and BHW is the flame to my moth keeping me from doing what I need to do.

Possible?

Dammit. Hadn't thought of that!

Now I'll have to shoot my laptop to get some work done.

Oh well. Maybe I'll just try..../shiver .... self-discipline instead.

Scuba,

For what it's worth, go to a torrent site (Pirate Bay will do) and search for "self-discipline." When you get a hit called "Self-Discipline in 10 Days: How to Go From Thinking to Doing" (by Theodore Bryant) you have a winner.

It's an easy read, good exercises and it works if you use it. (It's a bit inclined toward the NLP side, but that's not a bad thing for quick results.)
