Selecting domains for a PBN

Hey everyone,

I've decided to start my own PBN. It's for a particular niche for my money site.

I'm trying to find some expired domains with a clean link profile and a DA of over 30. I can't really find any domains that would work well for my niche. I plan on treating the sites like I would treat my money site, but on a smaller scale. Should I just keep looking for relevant domains, or does the actual name of the domain not matter much?

Find domain names that are sub-relevant, or that is related. If you do a niche about paper planes , find domains about plastic planes

You should search for Domain Name this relevant to your niche and money site.
 
niche relevant are most effective but any good domain aged with good backlinks will help you go up
 
Relevant domains & backlinks from relevant niches matters a LOT & it works incredibly well, but in case you don't get relevant domains then you can use some really good aged domains with good metrics like High PA / DA / TF / TR / CF / PR / Good Backlinks etc.
 
Niche related domains have niche related backlinks, which will contribute a lot to your link profile appearing natural, thus lowering your risk.

These days it doesn't matter much if you get unrelated domains in your PBN, but it would make sense for Google to act on that soon, so I would advise you to stick to niche related. You can go broad niche, as suggested before, but straight off topic might not be the best idea if you are going for the long term results.
 
I'm in the camp that says relevant domains are better for long term rankings and overall safety of your network. I'd keep searching for related domains and not rush into buying irrelevant ones.

Also, remove the idea of metrics from your mind as much as possible - sure they can assist in finding suitable domains, but they are nothing more than a guide. I'd take domains with a DA of 10 if they had relevant backlinks from niche authorities and where I think those links will stick.
 
Do not go for irrelevant domains. Just be patient and keep on searching for domains related to your niche, this will bring lot of positive results which will be Long-term too. Nowadays many of them are facing issues due to getting links from irrelevant domains. It will not be a safe practice. Keep your search going till you find better ones.

I think niche relevant domains are the best.

In my opinion the actual name of the domain doesn?t matter much.

I agree with Steve on this one - I have some domains that have contextual gov/edu links and have TF2-3, which doesn't mean they are weak. Also, recently i found a domain with TF27 that had 1 backlink - one!
