    Hello,

My website got seized by the US government. Yes I was using offshore servers and a "bullet proof" domain registar but they still took it down.

Can anyone tell me a good place to get a domain name that will not be taken down by the government?

    Thanks,
    Bix

What were you doing that caused it to get seized?

  4. If your domain was really seized by the US GOVERNMENT, then you have bigger problems to worry about now atm.

  5. BTW, what were you doing? Streaming movies or had a torrent site? Just curious.

I assume it was a .com domain. Use .org (or a country TLD).

I'm more interested to know what caused the government to seize your domain.

.org is owned by a U.S. based company, its not offshore, and only a few country TLD's are worth it, none of the European Union are good.

Still no reply from OP as to what he did (or, what the site did). Perhaps he's been hit with a midnight raid already...

    Not swatted yet....

Yes it was a torrent site!Over 5.8M torrents. They sent me a bunch of takes downs and stuff but I just ignored them.

The domain got taken down but not the servers.. I own the servers, I live in the data center. ;)

You best get out there and fortify your front doors... they be comin' a knockin'.

They'll demand that you pay $46 for each time a torrent was seeded. The bill should be no more than about $600m.
Just big enough for you to tell them to take a flying f**k at a rolling doughnut :)
