I supplied my Trustwallet Tron address for a Transaction. Transaction went fine and I can see the funds on tronscan in my address. However, Trustwallet is not updating the wallet balance to reflect what the tron explorer is showing. I had noticed an earlier issue on Bitcoin also - it kept on showing I still had some Bitcoin even though I knew I had spent the Bitcoin. I have cleared cache, re - imported the wallet using its backup mnemonic phrase, yet nothing changes. never experienced anything like this before with other wallets. I have just lost confidence on Trustwallet now... its behaving like a custodial wallet instead of non -custodial that its supposed to be. I dont know what else to do to make it update its balances from the blockchain.

Earlier on it was metamask now trust wallet and I've also heard of such issues, mycelium and exodus aren't as fun or easy to use but have security I think.

Trezoe wallets seem to be the safe way to go...

Perhaps import the wallet in metamask and transact from there? As it is a non custodial wallet, the seed phrase can probably be imported somewhere else. Read this (not my site)
Code:
https://isitcrypto.com/import-trust-wallet-to-metamask/

Also, are you sure the transaction went through, and was a success?

Edit: You did say trx… so may be try the same with tronlink wallet instead of metamask.

Has nothing to do with this.

Trustwallet just has had constantly issues with everything from the beginning of time. Bad code that's all.

At least always check for recent updates before use that did help me out onetime

I only just realised they have always had issues after this happened to me.. by the time I did a google search and saw similar experiences on the web. All the while, always thought it was okay.

hmm, thats another angle. I will update and see if that helps.. but my confidence in it has been shot down honestly.

Will try importing to Tronlink as @BlurryBit suggested.

I do have Binance, but as a rule, I only send transactions to my Binance from my own wallets. I avoid third party wallets sending to my Binance wallet. You would do well to avoid this also, to save yourself the stress on any day it so happens that someone using a blacklisted wallet sends you money. You never know if and when it may happen, at which point you would have some explaining to do to Binance when they restrict your account.
How much was the amount? Same thing happened with me when I paid a seller on an exchange. Not 100% reliable these crypto transactions.
Well, to be honest, I have never had an issue with crypto transactions all these years, following basic guiding rules. This one I think is because Trustwallet is buggy and I didnt realize it on time. Would'nt have used it. if the contract or the wallet or the exchange is not buggy, the experience is very very reliable. Binance has been rock solid as an exchange - hope they remain that way. Metamask when used carefully performs excellently also. So I guess its all about doing due diligence.

Updating the app resulted in instant transfer? Where was the option to update in the app?
I updated it from the playstore. It updated it's balances from the Blockchain.

Consider the following revised copy: "Success! It worked perfectly. Thank you for your help. I am even considering making it a regular practice." This version maintains the positive tone of the original while providing more specific and enthusiastic language.

@xReminisce which reliable TrustWallet alternative would you recommend?

Guys, I lost confidence in TrustWallet for some reasons? Any alternative that won't give nightmares?
