First i'd like to say a HUGE thanks to everyone on the Forum, i'm new here and have spent several hours reading various topics, amazed with the content and experts willing to share ideas on SEO.

On to my question / post. A business partner and i have teamed up to create a new website, in a new niche for us (Live Chat and Dating site), and have invested in the public pages and backend to run it, other than some PSD file changes its ready to go live. We didn't really have a solid plan for driving traffic and it's clear to me we need to address that ASAP. My partner is not technical whatsoever, he comes from a finance background, so our last meeting about driving traffic and conversions was very silent, with him staring at me, and me thinking "oh sh*t, i better get a plan quickly".... He is the "money guy" so i'm feeling a little pressure at this point.

What is the "best" strategy to find/hire some outsourced SEO help, with the following requirements:

    1) We need a strategy and proposal to kick start a brand new site, new domain, with long term sustainability in mind. We don't want to get sand boxed being to aggressive (if there is such a thing in traffic building). I really need an SEO 101 proposal written, so i can share with my partner, explain the value and strategy, so he commits as well. it's 50/50 deal.

    2) Completely outsourced - meaning we don't want to hire someone when the business isn't cranking yet and let them down, i would not sleep at night. So we would need to agree a way to measure/compensate on real results of the outsourced partner. In other words, you guys are SEO experts, if i said "prove" you know what your doing and the work is being done, you would provide a list of metrics to check, that same list is what we would both agree is the yardstick.

    3) We don't want to get shafted. This is probably the most OBVIOUS requirement when outsourcing, but we have learned enough to know "buying" traffic doesn't always work out, and there are "smart" ways to SEO, and lets face it, there are some companies in the yellow pages claiming SEO experts, and we know it's a load of sh*t. Few months later, they are under a new name.

So in short, i need some advice, an SEO strategy from ground up, with real world results (conversions), and not sure the best way to structure something good for both parties, within reasonable costs, and get working asap. Is there a "standard" outsource SEO formula? If so, I need to understand it quickly.

Our future partner may be reading this post, great ! Any help on "how to outsource SEO is much appreciated.

UPDATE: i've received a couple PMs, but the forum won't let me reply until i have 15 posts....

    Thanks in advance,

if your niche is not low competition, then you should rather invest your money on adwords first and not seo

Sorry guys, in my post i completely forgot to mention the niche, which is relevant to SEO strategy i think. The site we launched is a Live Chat site, with a dating site in the works. Apologies i meant to include that in the original post. We are new to both.

Thanks, i forgot to mention the niche, it's live chat followed by dating, problem not "low" competition. So our SEO strategy needs to consider that for sure.

Any link building seo strategy will take a considerable amount of time before you see any ROI, especially in that niche. I would be looking for someone with experience in banner/image advertising using adwords or some other ad network. Ad networks have the metrics for analyzing conversions, so you can tell pretty quick if it is working. When selecting relevant sites for ad placement you may have to think outside the box. The obvious choice would be porn related websites, but that may cost too much. Gaming, torrent, social media sites may convert better.

BTW, I'm not saying don't do any link building. I just wouldn't focus on it first.

Along the same lines as the other two, look at popunders on adult sites or even fake IM windows. You should be able to get those pretty cheap.

As for the SEO, start today cause for anything to do with cam or chat it will take a while to get long term great results. Most live chat sites don't have a ton of "Spiderable" content, so if you do, that is a plus.

The good thing about adult or semi adult, is you won't have a hard time finding people willing to sell you relative backlinks cheap.

Thanks, we are considering other sites to compliment and drive traffic to the main money site (Chat in this case). So we could put pop ups on our own sister site, does that make sense in your opinion?
