Seeking guidance for using Reddit as a parasite.

Hi,
I have a few affiliate sites that have tanked in the last year due to me being sick and not having the energy to work on them. Now Im looking over possibilities of getting back into this and when I look in the serps i see reddit posts ranking for really difficult buying keywords (among them 3rd for "best credit card". I am in a smaller country where competition isnt as fierce. So the idea came to mind to use reddit posts as parasite pages and drive traffic to my site that way and go after the bigger keywords in my niche. Im still in the research phase of this potential project but would like some thoughts on questions that have come up so far.

*What type of infrastructure do I need? Meaning accounts, potential own subreddit and so on. Thought right now is to try and outsource that part to someone that knows how to do it properly.
*Do I have to post in a sub from my country or is a international okay, but post in my language. Reason I ask is that the top post on google for a big kw ive found is a english reddit post that has been translated automatically by reddit.
*Can exact match buyer kw be used?

If I go this route the plan is to add a few decent quality backlinks to the post wich I assume is beneficial and then there is the problem of getting real or real enough looking comments and upvotes wich I assume better come from swedish accounts? Or can you get away with other accounts if they are old and high karma due to reddit having the translation function.

Feel I should add that the keywords im planning to go after have top results of sites with DA50-60 with 0-3 links pointed to the article. Its hard to find strong links to get in my country. This is why I have a feeling this might be a very powerful strategy.

Sorry for many questions. Like I said im in the research phase and want to have a solid plan before going to work on it.

That is a lot of different stuff, but let us take it one at a time.

1): For infrastructure you will at the very least need
- Accounts, which are warmed and maintained properly, Reddit is sadly one of the strictest platforms for bot detection
- Proxies, either mobile only so it is natural that they rotate or static residential proxies, meaning, a dedicated IP address for each account that does not change
- Possibly a tool like an anti-detect browser or several devices such a mobile to not have the same fingerprint profile for each account

Finding a provider who is experienced with this could be great, but just be cautious about the right match would be our suggestion

2): Don't fully understand this. Are you sure it is not your Google Chrome or similar browser that is just auto translating? For subreddit targeting, it is entirely dependent on what your affiliate sites promote, You will know better if international or not will be the best option. Also, maybe try both?

Reddit does have some of the best conversion on our experience in comparison to most other platforms

I’ve had EMD-style titles work on Reddit posts, just don’t over-optimize the body text or you’ll get flagged.

Combine that with strong content and real backlinks on your own site to boost keyword rankings.

1. Will look into what you wrote on the infrastructure part closer and see what I can come up with and do myself.

2. I looked around on quite a few different buying keywords and the top spot for "riskokare - bäst i test" (best rice cooker) is a english article thats been translated by what I assume is reddit. Took a printscreen if im not explaining correctly or if this is some new vodoo by reddit or google. It says "translation active, show original"

3. Yeah, so thats kind of what i thought. Trying to find a related subreddit in my country.

My idea right now is kind of using a buyer keyword as title and then maybe write it more as a question in the text. "I found this site, they claim this product is best because yadayada. Have anyone actually tried it and what did you think"

This is an idea very much in the thought and study stadium I might ad.

My sites have been ranking quite well before, but have taken a big hit from not working on them and serp-AI has tanken quite a bit of traffic. They are all centered around 1 product each and have the most content (good quality) for their respective niches. The problem is that backlinks are incredibly expensive in my country, and often absolute junk linkfarms.

I, personally, use reddit as a parasite but mainly for tests, and I have a few subreddits.
1. Create 1-3 accounts... same IP is fine. Make them all moderators, just in case if one account gets geopardised.
2. Create or acquire a subreddit related to your country... in there you can post news and interesting facts about your country and sometimes, slip in promotional posts. Well, ideally you want to request an inactive subreddit as you'll already have a sub base.
3. Post and moderate. I mainly, use my main account for moderation and the other one for posting.
4. It's your subreddit so you can post anything you want... but make sure you do promos subtly and concentrate on subreddit growth. More interactions on your subreddit, better rankings for your posts.

Concentrate on building strong content on your site first using reddit can help, but genuine value and relevance will always outperform shortcuts.

It’s an exciting idea, but ranking with Reddit still depends a lot on trust signals, so it’s not always as simple as it looks.

Content on my sites is good, and has ranked quite well before but tanked due to inactivity and backlinks falling off or becoming linkfarms. The problem in my country is to find high quality backlinks for a price that doesnt make the endeavour unprofitable. Most sites that are good are super expensive and rare to find, the ones that are not become linkfarms quite qick with tons of outgoing links, most often to casino. Honestly thats why Im looking for shortcuts.

Yes, from what ive read it seems like getting comments and upvotes is not just for reddit but shows trust to google rankings as well.

Yep get it good links are expensive and cheap ones turn to junk fast. At that point, trying shortcuts is understandable, but youre usually better off rebuilding with a few solid links and fresh activity than betting on quick fixes that wont last.

i believe the most important thing in Reddit to rank in Google is comments

True. The good thing is that one way doesnt exclude the other. If parasites work, even for a shorter time it could possibly finance real good links for the main site. But still in the research phase, so nothing is decided

Kinda agree. Spent some time (not that much honestly) in analyzing the Reddit posts that are ranking in my niche and did not find any correlation with the number of comments. Neither for upvotes or age. One thing that I saw you can somehow exploit, is the "answer" of the thread. Some of the posts were having one pinned comment in google search results, and that comment wasn't pinned by having lots of upvotes/comments/even backlinks, if possible. My understanding is that its pinned there because google considers that a response to the question that is in the title/body.

Yeah, Using the quick wins to fund solid links could work, just make sure the short term stuff doesnt cause problems down the line.

Thank you for this. Will check the reddit posts that rank high on google in my country and see if there is some form of method to googles madness about that, that can be seen.

Yeah, wont do it on all sites. Just try on one if I go this route.

Testing on a single site first lets you see the impact without risking your whole setup.

When you say don't over-optimize, could you explain exactly what you mean here?
