Hi BlackHatWorld peeps,

I have been working 9-5 job as a project lead for campaigns in a e-commerce company. But pretty much hate my job, because there's no flexible working hours, and you have to sit in office even when you have no work to do/completed your work, fake colleagues, shitty benefits, promotions are limited.

I'm looking for something to do outside of my job, or something on the side that can get me out. (I.e swapping to a remote job/full time work from home), or something that could get me out the trenches. I'm not asking for a silver spoon to be fed, but

1. Have any of you been in this situation and how did you get out of it?
2. What are the other jobs/things to do out there that can be considered options? (i.e what worked for you, and how did you start/learn) [Willing to try and learn anything]

I'm just tired of this life and wanna change it, whether it may be income, happiness, work-life balance. Hopefully someone here can share their insights. Cheers!

I hope, you must have some ideas already in your mind., At least you must be expecting one of those ideas as advices from this community people.

Because only you know your exact situations, if possible list those ideas here, people can recommend whats good for you. If you arent satisfied with your 9-5 job, switch to freelancing, work on your preferred timing.

"you have to sit in the office even when you have no work to do/completed your work" - Having an office, with hopefully free coffee and good workstations is a great time to start up new projects i.e. "side hustles".

You’ll have go through the initial phase of testing things out and getting a feel of what you like and don’t like when it comes to the various avenues available to create an income stream.

Try things out, you’d fail at first. Something’s you’d fail at but would want to try again and again. Somethings would just feel right to quit.

Explore, submit to the time required. And most importantly be patient. On a side note don’t fall for these gurus who try to rip you off with their “30 days to making 5k a month”

You already have experience with ecommerce, why not try a single product or limited SKUs ecom website? If this is not possible then run campaigns for others as a freelancer. Try to leverage whatever you learned on your job.
