I think I am answering your question correctly here. You can simply pay for the bandwidth package for your neighborhood ISP, then you can play with it from there (assuming they have those speeds). Good luck though, 12MB/s is by today's standards a very fast connection. If they don't offer those speeds, you can always modify a cable modem, and simply steal from them (easy to do).

I think you ought to research seedboxes a little more.
A seedbox is an account in your name on a high-speed server with extreme bandwidth. You can use this seedbox to download torrents/whatever at maximum speed and seed them about as equally fast.
You can then download from the seedbox to your own PC, generally at the fastest speed your connection allows. It's like your own dedicated torrent server.
For example, I have a seedbox on a 100mbps line. I can upload my .torrents and their associated files and seed them from there on a 100mb connection. Think of what that will do for your seeding ratios. They shoot up like a rocket on crystal meth. My home connection is a slower 12mpbs line. Whatever I download to my seedbox, I can then download to my home PC at full 12mb speeds.
Short answer: no, you can't put them in your house.

It's like having a dedi or vps just for torrenting. It's not something you put in your house, it stays at the datacenter lol.
They are mainly for uploading so you can have them on and super fast 24/7 but you can also use them for downloading. Server to server downloading goes extremely fast (sometimes faster than I can even believe... I have to manually look to make sure all the files are there) then once they are downloaded to your seedbox, you download from your seedbox to your home computer at whatever speed you can connect to it at.

I'm afraid you wont modify a CM to download at a higher rate than the ISPs highest package that they offer.
so if ISP highest packages say 10MB/s thats the most you will be able to "steal",

Please only hack/uncap a cable modem if you know what you are doing. Yes it is rather easy but you will get caught, and if that cable modem is under your account name you will get banned from your ISP; they take uncapping very seriously. I recommend you uncap only if you have a modded cable modem that is not under any account on the ISP side; meaning you bought the cable modem (a modded one preferably) and was not given to you by your ISP.

My ISP recently started offering up to 50mbps, it's tempting to try and aquire those speeds.

It has a 1000/1000mbit connection and it works really great.
Only paying $10 per month and it has 60gb space Going to use it together with an method I found here at BHW.

I generally thought that modding secondary modems was kinda, the commen sense thing to do, buy a cheap modem simply to play around with and modify, instead of coughing up $50-100 when you screw up your current modem and your stuck without the internet for [x] amount of days.
