Securing a newly purchased account!

Hey there,

Just recently bought an instagram account with a bunch of followers. I'm wondering how I should go about securing it as to make sure the seller cannot recover the account. Are there steps to take?

I used socialtradia to broker the deal.

Obviously I'm going to start with changing the email and pass. Any other steps I should take (phone verification) etc.

I think you should change email, phone number and disconnect all authorized applications.

If you don't have access to the original email/phone #, it can be stolen back.

Unless you have control of the original email, there is nothing much you can do. Make sure any middlemen you use are reputable and been in business for a while.
Yes, change email, phone, disconnect apps, etc., but apart from that, you'll never be totally sure.

Definitely change the email, and the verified phone. Also disconnect all apps by logging into IG from the web.

You can also change the IG username slightly to prevent the previous owner from spying on you. I mean they could if they did a little sleuthing around, but it just makes it harder.

The only way is having the original email. Try checking that email of ways that can be recovered even after you change its password.
For example removing alternate email... phone numbers associated with the email etc.
