Is this such a thing?

Will ads perform better on an ad account that is in a Business account that has had previous success and has been running for a while?

I opened a new ad account on a "seasoned" business manager and it did great.

Did the same on a new business manager and it didnt perform well.

Obviously so many other variables entailed but is this true?

Pixel data. New BM ad accounts has no pixel data, so it still needs to learn.

It's not about old or new BM... each and every ad account on fb performs differently.

Well a couple of years ago some gurus were pushing the idea that it's better to work with a new personal ad account rather than a new bm account. It was true at some extent.

Now your questions is about something else. In your case what really matters is the data stored. The algo will work better on an account who has established data and events captured over a long period of optimization.
