Searching for Youtube Tips !

I have a simple but also (i think) dumb version.
I am a muscian and i have made a cover of a song of Jason Derulo that i put on vagex and u2b views 4 days ago and it went up to page 2 for 247k results. Now i wanted to ask how to do some effective link building for musicians ? Because i can't really post a music video on let's say a blog for woodwork or something ! Does someone has some tips how i can get to page 1 ? If you want you can hit me up on skype too : lucas.schauer1

To start off this statement is incorrect. Time watched i.e audience retention is now the most important factor used by YouTube to determine ranking/suggestions of a video. Read http://youtubecreator.blogspot.com/2012/08/youtube-now-why-we-focus-on-watch-time.html

To get ranked high on youtube, you need (in my experience) google +1's, other social shares like facebook likes, high retention views and subscribers. Getting ranked in google is another story, but that should be enough to get you started.

Nowadays, audience retention is the king.

I have a feeling that w9go knows that but thought that OP already got HR views as he mentioned u2bviews and vagex. Then again, OP might've already added likes and comments as well. Watered man, you're right, retention truly is king now.
