    Hello!

I´m searching for free wordpress hosting, where u can use ur own domain, it should be spam free and mostly ads free. I´m searching for a free
hosting because i want to keep my websites up, but i do not want to work on them, because they are for sale!

The problem now is that my websites are in wordpress and they got flooded by comment spam (so many that i can not delete them over the wordpress admin) although i did not allow any comments in wordpress, so i wonder why this could happen?

Ok now my hope is that when i load the sites to a free host, that the comments get deleted, or what else can i do to get the comments deleted forever?

I do not want to update always cause i do not work on this websites any more i want to concentrate myself on other things now.

Can anyone reccomend a good fast solution for my problem?

    greetings,

    MayerL

so you want a free hosting and you also want them to delete your spammy comments. So you want 2 things for free. Is almost impossible to find it.

But you could delete your comments by yourself via phpMyAdmin wp-comments table

    Hello mazgalici

Thank u for ur help, no sorry i do not want to get the two things for free, only the hosting that is i think possible, i meant that i read on one of those free offers that they have such an anti spam funtion included, so i thought that it may be possible to get rid of this spam shit automatically, but i sounds maybe too good to be true, no problem

I´m not an expert with wordpress but i know the phpmyadmin but i do not know what i should delete there exactly, cause i do not want to destroy anything. If i delete the whole wp-comments table i think it is not wise? So can u help me deleting the right?
    Sorry for the many questions

    greetings,

    MayerL

the antispam feature for the hosting is only for the email. For the wordpress there are some plugins which you could install (captcha especially). Probably you closed the comments just for the new posts for the existing ones the option is still available

    @mazgalici

Sorry i didn´t understand your last post, i do not want to protect the comment posting by captcha or something i want to get rid of them, so that i do not get any comments. I know that wordpress is good for seo and many can recommend it, but there are many disadvantages in my opinion and one of the greatest is the comment function the other one is the frequent updates.

So i want to get rid of the comment function, but is there a suitable solution?

    greetings,

    MayerL

Cloudways isn't exactly free, but considering everything - they charge very little money for the service they provide.

You are asking a lot for a free hosting.. so go for a basic shared hosting and get required features.

Free hosting are really bad for SEO, they have too much down time. I would suggest you some paid ones. You can start with the cheapest you can find. I am now using an A class hosting for wordpress provided by UsersFlow They have some cheap options for starters. Suggest me some other hosting if you know like this one? Thanks..

I have to agree with srknth here, Amazon Free Tier is actually a really good option for Hosting your Wordpress for free. They give you 30GB of disk nowadays, 15G monthly traffic, a whole CPU, gig of ram. Though you have to be careful when setting up to get all the advantages. I've actually made a course on free wordpress hosting on Amazon and just released it couple of days ago. It's on Udemy and it's called "DIY WordPress Hosting: Learn with Amazon Cloud Free Tier"

I would suggest you before going for any free hosting provider always cross check, the customer reviews and confirm that the hosting company provide secure hosting.
