You do not need to do search engine submission and there it no benefit to it. You need to create a good crawlable website with good content relevant to your chosen niche and wait for the search engine spiders to crawl it.

You should create an xml sitemap and submit it to the google search console so that google crawls your site faster.

If your site has good content search engines will index it anyway but there is an option to add your website in google search console.
