Hey guys

Well I have a quick question...

Here is an example

if you search for dirty trash small

my site comes up in google as the third return ...

If you search for dirty trash my site does not come up at all...

I created these fake terms but whats up with that. My site will return with 3 keywords but not 2 .

Im not sure if I can actually list my website with the links and what not so I just used dummy terms. Much like I am myself.

thanks in advance

Create 2 separate landing pages. One for 2 word and onw for 3 word keyword.
Do a great on-site, fire up some exact match anchors and be patient with ranks..

This is normal, it is almost always harder to rank for shorter terms.

Lets take insurance for instance you could go

insurance

car insurance

Cheap car insurance

cheap car insurance for provisional license holders

Now while all insurance terms are going to be pretty competitive ranking for

cheap car insurance for provisional license holders

Is going to be a lot easier than any of the shorter terms above it.

Longer terms get less searches and so as a general rule have less competition and are easier to rank for.

But youd think you would show up under insurance since you already rank for 5x insurance keyword... even if you are 75 milionth place ! lol

Its happens, may be due to the site is new, that is why your site is not appearing on two term keywords, i think you should work more on two term keywords, wait for the results for two months around.

The good positive point is that your site come by some keywords, so this is the signal that you have good chances to achieve the ranking by good keywords too

Tks

Just because you rank for a bunch of 3 word terms containing the same 2 words does not mean you will rank for the 2 word term. You need to build backlinks with the exact two word phrase.

i think you should backlink with both keyword to give better result.

I have some serious trouble building real backlinks. Its hard to locate locations to back link that matter. But i guess if it was easy wed all have a billion b links each huh

Thanks for the response but like I said I am having trouble locating good places to build the links on.

You already got many great answers for your keyword question. You can use some great tools which can help you out to search some links. Scrapebox is one of them.
Search that how many blog scripts are there and what can be the foot prints of such blogs to find some good pages. I remember I had worked on Drupal blogs and I used [keyword "node" comments] and was getting really good pages for link building.

Umm hello, those are two different search terms, one is much broader and going to be more competitive then the other, thats like saying: My site shows up for "i love playing sports in my free time cause i do" but doesn't show up for "sports" why is that............

mindy all my backlinks are manuals.

mdsurf since google has already indexed the word sport in the first search why wouldnt you show up even if its in the last page ?
