Hi everyone,
So I just rebranded my business to a new name about a month ago. Instead of buying a whole new hosting plan I just switched the primary domain on my hosting plan and made all of the other changes around that. I made sure to set up a wildcard 301 from the old domain to the new one to avoid 404s.
I kept all of the same content on the website, just with a new domain and new name.
However, one place where I am a bit confused is with Google Search Console. All of my organic rankings are still showing the Old URLs, which now redirect to my new site via a wildcard 301. I submitted a change of domain request to Google, but I just want to make sure I don't get penalized. Should I noindex all of the duplicate content on my new site since the old links are 301'd to them?
My natural guess would be to canonical the old pages to the new ones, however I don't have access to the old "content" because it doesn't really exist anymore, since I just changed the domain name on the site.
