I am not very active in SEO, but i have a a couple of large sites with tens of thousands of pages. A few months ago I tried the link: search in google to see how many back links I had and they where hundreds of links.

Now I tried the same and I only get like 70 links to my site. Did google change the way is sees links?

The link:...... was never the best way to measure the inbound link. The best and more efficient way is to check out your webmaster tools account.

Another way (but not 100%) is to use SEOQuacke plugin for Firefox, give a try.

Is there any automated link building submitter that can be called from a web workflow, I would love to be able to get backlinks in forums etc for new content we add. We add like 40-50 pages or more per day. I want something that works at the server not at the desktop.
