My Twitter account was search and search suggestion banned, starting (I believe last night). I run a Twitter chat (it's a comedic storytelling one with no inflammatory stuff and,
in general, don't post any inflammatory stuff). But the way the chat runs is, you include a specific hashtag with every post, you search for the hashtag and everybody posting using the hashtag has
their tweets show up in the "chat").
Last night, about 12 minutes into the chat, one of the participants, who was live-tweeting a Twitter story (posting one post after the next) all of a sudden stopped showing up in the chat. There were,
maybe 50 people there last night. Everybody else was showing up, including me.
I RT'd a few of her previous posts and took over for her, posting her twitter story. After about 4 minutes, my tweets stopped showing up in the chat. I could see all of my posts, but nobody else could.
I found a shadowban tool and sure enough my account--and the first participant's account--had been both search and search location banned.
Late last night, I logged into an alt Twitter account I had, as a test, and was able to post into the chat using the hashtag. Everybody saw it. This morning, attempted the same thing (but included the
handle of the 1st participant in the tweet) and it didn't show up. I used the the shadowban tool and the alt account had not only been search and search location banned, but also shadow banned (the alt
account has about 30 followers and was only there in case of emergency).
Does anybody have any experience with this? How do I get the search ban removed from my account? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
