Ive seen on a website that they have made their sidebar slide with the page when you scroll down. So for example they have an adsense ad in their sidebar that scrolls with the page.

It's a good way to boost CTR.

Sorry I meant to ask how I achieve this?

I haven’t used Adsense in a while, but last I checked sticky ads were not allowed to be used by regular accounts.

I had a site turned down for Adsense 2 months ago because of this. Removed the sticky sidebar and got accepted.

It is allowed with any Adsense premium publisher, so for example with Ezoic you won't have any problem. It definitely helps with RPM, since the ads stays with the reader and refreshes every now and then, resulting in more ad impression for each page view that lasts at least 20 seconds.

More ad impressions -> better RPM -> Better earnings.

How you set it up depends on your ad network--either you do it on your own in the background, or they will do it for you. What I try to say here is that it is set on the ad company dashboard/platform, and has nothing to do with your WordPress theme settings :).

I have had success with it without any problems.
It depends on the type of account you have. If you have a regular account it’s only a matter of time until you’re caught and maybe banned. It’s like playing with Fire.
