Yeah, its very very cold here in Atlanta too. It has been cold for past 2-3 days. Though Global Warming refers to the caps melting and the water temperature becoming hotter.

global warming is just a term to use for changes in the climate, this isn't mean that every part of the world become warmer.....there will be parts which become colder in fact, i studied geography in the uni, so i can talk about this for hours, but i don't want to do, just google for it and you can see by yourself what im talkin about

You are describing "Global Climate Change", which in it self is stupid, the weather has always "changed". None the less....it's a crock of crap....it started about as Global Warming....then the frauds realized the global tempts have actually dropped over the last 40 years, they now call it Climate Change
Well you in USA get problems with becoming colder and we in europe (or at least my personal feeling) with it getting hotter and colder at the same time, in the summer at least here in my country we get a new decade heatrecord every 2-3 Years and the winter seems to get colder and colder.
And why it gets colder, well as far as I know one big source of heat for america(and still a nice heater for europe) is the gulf strom and through the climate change that mechanism is disturbed leading to a lose of power for the gulf strom and through that less heat for america.
No, I am no scientist or anything like that, so don't lynch me if I got something wrong, that is just as far as I have read, heard and thought. And no I don't say, that this is the only reason or explanation, I only think that this is one of the reasons.

We can now start to post articles about particular parts of the world getting hotter or colder all night long and that would prove absolutely nothing, as was already mentoined, the world climate isn't so simple, you have to look at the big picture not just pick one, two or even 30 countries that get colder, hotter, stay the same.
And I don't care if it gets colder, hotter or something, it seems to get uncomfortable and I just find it a bit ... funny, that the climate has been almost staying the same for about 10.000 years, or even for 2000 years and suddenly it changes so fast starting about the time we start to polute the air.

There was never a consensus about catastrophic man-made global warming. While the msm fell all over themselves to report that 700 scientists signed onto a letter supporting the notion, a group of 30,000 scientists led by the founder of the Weather Channel said just the opposite. The 30,000 scientists and the founder of the Weather Channel wanted to debate. The 700 scientists and Al Gore ran from the debate and insisted that a consensus already existed and the debate was over.
Frauds.
These people have gone beyond simply manipulating data to fit a preconceived political objective, which is enough to destroy science in and of itself. They have calculatedly perpetrated a criminal hoax that is being used not only to milk the public for billions of dollars but to literally impose upon the world a new global government. That is the "Copenhagen agreement" they were talking about, and yes, the draft actually said "government"! Fortunately, Climategate had something to say about that.
They were absolutely shameless in their effort to perpetrate this fraud on the public. That pesky Medieval Warm Period that occurred just 1,000 years ago disproves our claim about current temperatures being the hottest in measurable history? Leave it off the graph! Those pesky emails which people are submitting FOIA requests for, and which we are required by law to provide? Delete them! Those pesky scientists who reject and refute our junk science, and attempt to publish their papers in the scientific journals? Block them, even if it means "redefining what the peer review process is"! Those pesky few journals where we don't have enough pull on the review board to block dissenting papers? Discredit them and claim they aren't real journals!
It would be funny, except that it is being used as a basis for a whole new tyrannical layer of government - where your freedom to run a business is subjected to political decision-making (and the accompanying political cronyism), where new taxes are levied on every stage of production, where the prices of goods and services skyrocket across the board... and there is only one benefit. Al Gore gets to line his pockets with our money and be part of the forming global government that will rule us from afar, even more remote and less accountable than Washington D.C. is to most Americans.
The "cap and trade" (cap and tax) laws being proposed in the US and already implemented in Europe literally subjugate the basic necessity of production and, indeed, living - emitting unharmful carbon dioxide - to complete frauds like Al Gore and Maurice Strong, who own the very "market" in the US where they wish for the government-forced "trading" of carbon to take place under the auspices of a non-existent scientific consensus about man-made global warming (which has never been shown to exist) and carbon dioxide (which we exhale every time we breath, which plants inhale every time they breath, and which has never been shown to be harmful in any way).
Europe already has this system, and, surprise - criminal corruption is rampant. In some countries up to 90% of the transactions are criminal activity. This is a scheme that sucks money out of a nation's economy like a vacuum, and funnels it into the hands of a new breed of elite criminal overlord, with an endless stream of mid-level criminals sticking their hands into the cookie jar and skimming up to 90% of the money as it travels down the drain hole into the bank accounts of Gore and his ilk.
Oh, and don't forget. If this occurs in the US, a good portion of the money will be siphoned off by the government and sent to Communist China as interest on our government's (not our) ridiculous debt to them. Lovely.
