Fraps is old and trash
screencast-O-matic is trash (low fps cap) - most of the "freeware screencast" kind of applications are bad.
camtasia is good for tutorials etc, but has a weak control over the output quality
bandicam is excellent due to possibility of using external codecs like h264, quality/fps control etc. I use it for screencasts.
dxtory is the best for video game recording

Both bandicam and dxtory is a japanese software, for some reason.

Bandicam is the best without a doubt, at least it works better for me than any other camtasia ,OBS etc...

Depending on what Operating System you use. For windows, i would use camtasia or fraps, for Mac, i would suggest Voila. I have only heard good things about this program.

I would highly recommend Dxtory for screen capture if you have some money to spend for your software. It is ridiculously cheap. Otherwise, a free alternative I would highly recommend is Fraps. I use both but mainly Dxtory. Very smooth if used with the right codec and I only use Fraps when Dxtory is having some trouble.

On linux, recordmydesktop, or gtk-recordmydesktop (GUI version) works best, and hei, it's free !
You can use VLC for recording your screen as well, free too !

There are many screen recording software's available in the market. I'm now presenting few names : Icecream Screen Recorder, Active Presenter , CamStudio, Snagit ,EZVID , Jing ,Webinaria , Rylstim Screen Recorder ,Screenr ,Camtasia Studio. Here, all are screen recording soft. You will use that will will better for your task. Good luck..

The top three are:

- Camtasia Screen Recorder
- Fraps
- Bandicam

If your video is still stuttering, you either have a codec (Windows) or hardware (CPU/Memory limited) problem.

Its not a big problem to get a reliable screen recorder software.
I'll suggest you CamStudio for reliable and efficient working. It will not get any trouble.

Camstudio is the best software for recording your screen.
It provides best colors and effects after recording the screen video.
