Is there a way to change this? When you type "blackhat" on Google, there are two or three of our threads on the first page.

I'm thinking I shouldn't have used the same screenname that I use with some other programs and such.

Just wondering.

wow, its true! what is this, good or bad? IDK? dave sure has his SEO down good, but is this good or bad?

Hi I can change your username no problem just PM me and let me know what you want it changed to...

I'd say:
1.) For the most part it's bad.
2.) Have you actually tried typing your screen name into google? Try it and see. If you've been using the same screen name for 6 months or more, I bet that there will be something.
3.) Personally, I really like my screen name; I did not get any ideas for it anywhere, I just wanted a unique name, and so I thought of one.
4.) Iv'e been thinking along the same lines of this topic for some time now (this is why I have so much to say), and I would say that it would be safe to have a screen name that you want to keep for general, everyday (eg normal, non-blackhat) activities.

However, consider having a different name for blackhatting. It can be something that you can remember easily, too. For me, real names are sometimes easier to remember than traditional 'screen names'. Use what works for you.

5.) There's probably not a whole lot you can do about having your name, screenname, or other information appearing on google in some way you'd rather not have it associated. So, simply refer to step 4, and to put added security to this technique, change your blackhat name every once in a while. That way, it's a lot harder for someone to get a straight trail of information about you.

I've spent some time just finding out as much information on a particular screen name as possible. You can always tell the individual has had a screen name for a long while when you can not only get their email, myspace acc info, phone number, and address, but you can also confirm the information by cross-referencing from different sources.

6.) I suppose, in conclusion, all I'm trying to say is, if someone is annoyed at you, and wants information, they will get it. But, you can make the job a lot harder for them by using 'disposable' screen names.

Those are my thoughts :D

I knew this before that's why I only used a username I rarely use for here. I think the only other place I use this username is on the VBulletin forums. I type in a couple of other of my usernames and I have literally thousands of pages with my usernames on it. Definitely good to use a "throwaway" username for sites that are less than grey.
