Scrapping every restaurants datas and sell them

Hey!

Im trying a new business, feel free to ask your questions or speak with me about your ideas.

Im scrapping every Swiss restaurant datas, I got a huge .csv file with those columnas filled for each restaurant: Name, Website, Address, Email, Phone Number

I got a domain, freescrapper.com and Im planning to post it here, give free access to a part like 10% and make the biggest part not free and accessible through a monthly 5$ subscription plan.

This plan will also include access to every data I will post on the website, other countries restaurants etc.. but everytime it will be big listing of business and contacts.

What do you think?
How would you attract clients/visitors to the site? Will you doe SEO or opt for Google ads/bing ads? Perhaps social media? How would you market?

Instead of selling subs to your entire db, you should break the randomized big list into partitions. Sell only 1 partition per buyer, so that if you have 10 unique lists, you only have 10 products in stock for that niche..

Each buyer gets a unique list and they have more value = repeat customers in future when you make more lists available.

Thanks all! The main problem I see here is how I will make peoples go to my website. I dont know if I do coldmailing for asking potential list buyers or if I do SEO and if so which strategy

At first I would start with more fundamental questions like "What problem I will solve" "Who needs that solution" etc. And those answers will give you more clear picture how to structure you offer. When I think about large amount of scraped data and who would need that potentialy, first what it comes to mind is spamers. 1 that kind of data is raw, so there might be some false contacts 2 whoever will get that list, for them still it's cold calling and they need to make research for eatch and every line form zero before contacting 3 local businesses quite well know area they are in and areas arownd, so for them there are no problem to get contacts. Sooo it's not so easy to sell raw data and it will be cheap, that means that even if you will be able to pul it of your marketing budget will stay very tight. What you can do is to find ways how to sweeten up your offer to bring more value, in that case you will get more room to test different marketing ideas. But not forget who you targeting. Best case would be to find some way to get feedback from your target group about your offer and if it's something they would purchase. Not an esay task, but can save you ton of time and money.
