Okay, I've started to learn about Web 2.0 and stuff, and the next step to learn is scraping web 2.0. I've been looking for a thread here on BHW for over 3 hours now and I can't find anything good that explains the process of scraping even in general..
I've tried on google but there is nothing relevant there.
So, I've been wondering if someone here could recommend a good thread here on BHW (if there is one) or maybe you can share some of your basic knowledge about scraping web 2.0.?
I'd be very happy.

Also, is it better to buy those $60 packages which offer 15-20 relevant web 2.0 backlinks or to buy scrpebox and some other tools and scrape them myself?

Thank you in advance guys.

buy scrapebox,
that will be your best investment..
and at there you'll find best scraping tutorial

I don't get it too, that's why I'm asking for an information..

you can also scrap by gscraper tool but for this you need to buy the proxies

A scraper is like a web browser that you can automate.

So if you're going around copying this and that by hand, you program a scraper to do it for you.

Scrapebox is one scraper. GScraper is another.

And I write my own scrapers ;)

Search for footprints and you will find a thread for scraping many things

Thank you for the information guys.

I really want to learn this stuff because I want to rank some of my posts. The building and learning process is not a problem, the lack of money at the moment is...
And if there was any possible way to do this free, regardless of the work, I'd do it..

No, a scrapper is just a bot that you can write in any language to collect information from a website. you don't need it to be web automation. you can do it in a server language like php and it still do the same thing (i've done it.)
But I prefer imacros (web automation) because I can use it to log into any site and collect private data and whatnot. It's beginner friendly and I can use javascript to enhance the shit out of it.

But my question is what is scrapebox? When I look at it's site, it's talking about seo and all the shits. Is it intelligently scraping data that matches my criteria or is it just a plain old scraper?

You just replied telling me NO, a scraper is not what I said it is, then you proceed to say a scraper is what I said it was then you finished by asking what the scraper scrapebox is.

I might need a drink in order to understand this.
